Future Health Professionals Club – Crossroads Care Center Trip
This school year, students in WHS started a Future Health Professionals club (HOSA). This club is open to students who are looking to move on to careers in the health care field. Recently, students from HOSA helped residents of the Crossroads Care Center go bowling by assisting them with special equipment allowing for those in wheelchairs to bowl.
Students from HOSA have elected officers and attended several events such as the scrubs camp at Minnesota West Community and Technical College and Southeast Technical Institute. This club looks to continue to do great things within our community while providing students a base of knowledge around the health care career field.
Students who are interested in joining the Future Health Professional club in Worthington High School can contact the club’s advisor, Ann Mills. Mills is a teacher at WHS who currently teaches biology courses that many students take specifically to help reach their health care career goals. These courses are concurrently enrollment in partnership with Minnesota West Community and Technical College. Mrs. Mills may be reached at Ann.Mills@isd518.net.
