The Department of Health and Physical Education seeks to maintain the philosophies of the Learning Center and be an integral part of the school program and its concepts. It is committed to excellence and introduces students to as many diverse activities as possible and helps students attain the basic skills of these activities. Physical education encourages students to participate in lifetime sports activities and to assess their personal performance in those activities, and works with students on developing self-control, showing respect for others, and demonstrating sound moral and ethical behavior.
