Local History
Local History is an elective class in ISD 518. The class is one quarter in length, and students receive 1/2 credit. It can be used as a Social Studies elective, or as a general elective.
The course examines the geography, natural history, and history of the Nobles County area, focusing on the ice age, Native American times, European exploration, statehood and settlement, and modern times. In the process, they will achieve a greater understanding of, and deeper appreciation for, their surrounding community.
