 Prerequisite: Intro to Computer Applications

This course introduces the fundamentals of computers and networks. Students will learn how hardware and software work, how hardware and system elements work together, and how to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Topics include: mobile devices, Linux, MacOS, virtualization and cloud computing, Microsoft Windows operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting. Students will research computer science career pathways in demand to meet future workforce needs. This course may include participation in a Business Professionals of America (BPA) student organization.
