Website Design

One Term       Grades 10, 11, 12       Elective

Prerequisite: Intro to Computer Applications

Students will create fully functioning websites using today’s popular website design software Adobe Dreamweaver plus photo editing software Adobe Photoshop and music editing software Adobe Audition. Students will also use web-based software like “Google Sites” to learn the fundamentals of what information should be shared on a website. Students learn how to: manage files, folders, and sites; critically evaluate website quality; create and maintain quality web pages; learn web design standards; create and manipulate images; insert graphic elements including audio, video, animations, rollover effects, backgrounds, and page images; and more which will be extremely helpful in preparation for work, college, and the workplace.
