One Term Each Grades 10, 11, 12 Elective

This course develops the knowledge and skills involved in the planning and production of the school yearbook. Students gain experience in product design, layout, and production requirements. Students will learn to develop page layouts incorporating graphics, various fonts and word styles, text, clipart, and photographs. They will also become skilled in the use of digital media including the basics of photography, camera usage, and compositional skills. Students will learn the skills necessary for producing a quality publication, while meeting strict deadlines. These skills include organization, project management, teamwork and leadership.
