Advanced ESL
One to Two Terms Grades 9,10,11,12 Elective
Advanced ESL is an opportunity for students to improve listening comprehension skills, to practice grammatical patterns, to develop independent reading skills, and to refine writing skills. Students will use materials in preparation for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the SAT, the ACT, and other college entrance exams. For juniors and seniors, terms 3 and 4 of Advanced ESL in one year fulfills the requirement for ½ communication elective credit towards graduation.
